Unauthorized request by user due to lack of proper permissions or the object does not exist

Hello!

After an update from FME-flow 2024 to 2025 and after the update some roles are not able to open the repositories under workspaces. They get the message ‘Unauthorized request by user <user> due to lack of proper permissions or the object does not exist’.

 

I'm a superuser and able to open the repositories.

 

Is there a new option under User Management I'm not aware of? Or does someone know a solution?

Try to give those users Version Control (Access) permissions. This is a known issue since version 2025:

Try to give those users Version Control (Access) permissions. This is a known issue since version 2025:

Edit : finally works for us to

 

HI Mike,

We have the same issue since we update frome 2023.2 to 2025.1.

The workarround for the known issue didn’t work for us.

For the users with these roles in problems, we suggest to us to pass by Run workspaces to download .fmw.
