Data Streaming and Data Download Services and FeatureWriter Dataset String Functions

When using a FeatureWriter with strings functions in the Dataset, the file is written correctly when using the Job Submitter service but not with the Data Download and Data Streaming services. Specifically, the string functions are not evaluated. In this particular case, I want to append the file name with the current date. It seems this has worked correctly in the past. Has something changed, or should it not be possible to do this using those services?

Has anyone gotten opencv/Objectdetector to actually work?

I have been trying this for a while and have been spending too much time on this. I saw, and downloaded, Dmitri's stopsigndetector workspace and had a go at it myself. I just have no way of getting it to work at all. Sometimes it seems to get a result (which never makes any sense), but running the same workspace again will then result in a crash. the problems I encounter:Sample preparer just doesn't work at all. Rejects incomming feauture without an error.sample generator. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Sometimes gives the error 'invalid background description fie', a file the transformer generates itself..?instability: sometimes any of the 4 transformers (sample preparer, sample generator, trainer and detector) just crashes without an errorLack of documentation I tried the relative path trick, without it nothing works, but that didn't help. I downloaded Dimitri'workspace: Doesnt'work. Crashes on the samplepreparer, no error message.

recalculate fgdb feature class feature extents

I am using a template (schema only) to create many feature classes. the template already has a feature extent created that is larger that desired.if i don't use a template fme calculates the feature extent correctly for all included features in a feature class. Is there a way to override and include this information in the fgdb writer parameters?

Is it possible to disable automated scientific number formatting?

With the CAT reader, I'm loading a text file many small numbers, some of which are automatically converted to scientific numbers in the Visual Preview. These then become impossible to work because, for some reason, any transformations of the data are based on those scientific numbers rather that the decimal numbers. Is there a way to disable this automatic transformation from decimal to scientific numbers?

Error loading data back into ARCGIS Portal Service

I run a process that reads out of ESRI modifies some data and writes it back into the layer. This worked in AGOL but now that we moved to OnPremise version of ArcGIS I can't get it to work. The only difference I can see after replacing the read and write nodes is that the Type field in the user attributes tab doesn't maintain its esriField Types and defaults to string.When writing back I get an error saying ObjectId is missing but this field is in the data set.

WorkspaceRunner where clause parameter?

I have a child workspace accepting a where clause parameter:loggingUnit = 'LK107I' This works just fine standalone. But when I call the same workspace with a parent workspacerunnerusing an identical where clause my SQL Creator fails with rejected features. I can see in the logfile the parameter passed in is identical also?

delete empty FC in fgdb

I am writing file geodatabases using templates. this causes all fc in the template to be written wheter there are features in the workbench or not. If i am writing the gdb in an automation the only method i can think of is to have a second wb that opens the gdb that was just written and test for features in each fc. but then there is the problem of delteing the entire talbe. the database deleter will only delete rows. the database updater works on features also (not tables)Any Ideas how to accomplish this?I guess i will have to go with the read the schema method. this machine is used for fme server as well as desktop and as such i do not have a single use license for arcpro. so i have no way of using arcpy that i can find. as for the reading the schema solution. @ebygomm i guess just using a gdb reader and connecting each fc to it's output? but what about domains?

How to re-point dozens of socrata writers to new URL and test?

We have dozens of socrata writers that we need to re-point to a new domain. What is the best way to programmatically repoint to the new domain and test that the writers are still working after the migration? e.g.domain1.com/1234 -> domain2.com/1234domain1.com/5678 -> domain2.com/5678

I m directly pushing data to AtcGIS portal and want I need is if source data have no data then ArcGIS also truncate the data and show me the NO data at the moment its showing me null values with object Id is there any way to show no data

calculate distance between parallel lines

EDIT: so i need to find a way to use the 1 feature set (just the pink lines) find a pair of them. (maybe the fuzzyparallelfinder would work for this) split those pairs so i get only one of them then do this perpendicular line long enough to cross the other pair, spatialrelate that back to pair a, filter those and then calculate that length. any ideas on how to pair and split each parallel set? (see comments below for reasoning)I have row line features. I need to determine the distance between them (or easement width). I have been successful creating polygons out of these by using the fuzzyparallelfinder (custom) transformer. I also need the easement width attribute assigned to each line prior to making the polygons.the method for creating the polygons is pretty simple using the fuzzyparallelfinder and then using a snapper and areabuilder. But i get very unbelievable values if i use the statistics calculator as described in other posts. can anyone help with what i am missing?

Getting weird artefacts from ContourGenerator

I am getting some strange spikey artefacts from ContourGenerator. The dataset is a goverment isued DTM, pictured are some sea islands. The data is preprocessed with rastercellrounding and a notatasetter to ensure that the sea surface did not hold any data. Settings as follows:First image elev 2.5 tolerance 5Second image elev 2.5 tolerance 0Third image is a close up of the the second (elev 2.5 tolerance 0) Any ideas on how to deal with this?

Python Caller: Output list of attributes

I have a Python caller that eventually makes a dictionary Input: {1:a, 2:b, 3:c}Desired output: A representation of the code is below. I am not using the class. Just a simple function which coverts input list to dictionary. I also expose the key and value attributes. This is only representation because the actual code is quite complex. How do I specify an Azure Container name as a schedule parameter?

I am using the AzureBlobStorageConnector in my workbench, which takes as a parameter a "Container" value. I have been using just the name of the container, which is a published string parameter. This works when running the workbench locally as well as when running it from the FME server interface. My issue is when I attempt to create a "Repeat on Interval" schedule; for this parameter, when I enter the container name as a string value, I get the following error and the schedule cannot be created:Unexpected value "["containername"]" for parameter "value", expected scalarIs this expected behaviour? Is there another format I am supposed to enter this name in instead?

ESRI python interpreter on FME Server

I have a workspace that uses ESRI ArcGIS Python 3.9+ and works as intended on FME Desktop. When uploading to FME Server, I receive this error: A Python interpreter could not be loaded. Please ensure the workspace `Python Compatibility` is set to an available Python version. Based on this link, Using Python with FME Server (safe.com), I believe I need to upload the correct python module to the FME Server Resources directory (presumably a python module that was distributed with the install of ArcGIS Pro 3.0). Both the ESRI software and FME Server are installed on the same machine. I'm having trouble locating the correct files to upload to the Resources. Which files need to be uploaded, and where would I find them?

The Geodatabase is newer than the ArcGIS installed on this machine

I'm trying to run an old project in Desktop 2020 and keep running up against the error "The Geodatabase ... is newer than the ArcGIS installed on this machine. As a result the Geodatabase cannot be opened"Log file shows it checks out a license from ArcGIS 10.6.1 but I have ArcGIS 10.8 installed, although there is a Desktop10.6 folder in ArcGIS/Program files as well.Can I 'force' FME to select a 10.8 ArcGIS license or is there another work around?

My question is in two parts. I am having to insert Excel spreadsheets from OneNote to FME in order to correctly format them for upload to an actual DB. However, due to how the information has been entered in OneNote multiple pieces of information

that should be in separate fields are in the same cell. So, how do I remove peoples job titles that are sharing the name field and place them in a field of their own and is their a standard FME practice that will target duplicate entries into Excel sheets? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
