I am running FME 2015, and I have been experiencing some odd behaviour for reading Excel tables,
I load a feature reader, and I am reading one spreadsheet with numerous columns,
let's say I close the FME workspace, and I open it again the next day, none of the columns are read, and everything appears as null,
I current workaround, is just re-adding the feature reader... and this does the trick, but its starting to be a pain every time I open the workbench
Thanks for any help!

Hi,
I was not able to reproduce similar situation to yours.
If you are using FME 2015.1 build 15479, try upgrading to 2015.1.0.1 build 15480.
Perhaps the issue is related to this (?)
==== BUILD 15480 20150507 ===
Fixed a problem where re-opening a workspace in 2015.1 could result in broken Readers (read no data or ignore Reader parameters) for some formats (database formats that got recent Merge Filter support) (PR#61511)
Did this help you find an answer to your question?
