FME Server Publishing Error

Hi I am using FME 2018.1 desktop and server and trying to publish a workspace.

Today, this comes up with

User is not Authorised

The specified user credentials were not authorized to perform this action. Ensure with your server administrator that your user credentials are authorized to perform this action.

 

I can login with same credentials to FME Server web user interface. Also I have been able to publish to FME server before today. I am using the admin credentials to publish (which has fmeadmin, fmesuperuser access)

Any suggestion what could have changed and how to investigate this issue?

We believe that this issue should be fixed in FME Workbench b18590+. If you still experience problems, please let us know.

Are you able to log in to publish with any other user accounts?

 

Have you tried using the IP address of your FME Server, as well as the hostname, when publishing?

Does the fmeserver.log log your failed attempts to connect?

 

 

Are you able to ignore that screen and continue through the wizard anyway?

 

 

If you've done nothing to change the user account there's a chance something could have changed on your network between workbench and server. Might be worth checking if there's any changes to proxy, firewall, dns etc.

I just notice if I have Fiddler opened and capturing traffic, it can authorise and carries on to publish to FME server.

In Fiddler, I am getting a 404 error: "{"message":"Configuration does not exist."}"

Hi @sunsilk11

 

Have you tested connecting to your FME Server using a 2019 beta at all? In some cases we've seen that the issue only exists in 2018.

 

Also, are you using a proxy?
