Write referenced feature layer not hosted feature layer to Esri portal

Hi All,I’d like to replace our process of creating services in Esri portal.Instead of adding data from our SDE database to an aprx and publishing it as a feature service. I’d instead like to publish the data as a feature service directly from FME.I can do this using the Esri ArcGIS connector but it creates a hosted feature layer instead of referencing the data in the SDE database.Is it possible to write a feature layer that references the SDE database instead of a hosted feature layer?I’m using FME 2024.0.3.0 but have updated the Esri ArcGIS connector to the latest version.TIA

Hi ​@scarecrow,Unfortunately, you cannot natively create a reference registered data feature service using FME. You will first need to use ArcGIS Pro to publish the reference registered data feature service. Once it is published, FME can read from and write to that same feature service.Any feature service created by the Esri ArcGIS Feature Service writer or the ArcGISOnlineConnector will functionally be the copy-all data version of a feature service (hosted feature service).
