Safe Software Certifications and Proctoring FAQ

A proctored exam has a proctor review the test-taker for the entire exam, including the authentication process, from start to finish. The proctor ensures the test-taker is not receiving help from other individuals or accessing prohibited content

This process ensures that applicants do not take the exam with assistance or access to prohibited study materials. It also ensures that the person taking the exam receives the certification.

Before the proctoring session, please ensure that you have:

• A photo ID
• A working webcam and microphone connected to your computer
• Only a single monitor connected to your computer
• Cleared your desk
• Turned off your phone
• Removed everyone from your room and told them not to make any noise or interrupt you for the duration of the exam

What are the rules during the exam?

• Clear your desk and the surrounding area
• Stay connected to a power source
• No phones or headphones
• No dual monitors
• No leaving your seat, except for bathroom breaks
• You must be alone in the room
• No talking
• Your webcam, speakers, and microphone must remain on throughout the test
• You must stay in front of the webcam for the duration of the test
• You are allowed bathroom breaks
