I have picked up on this recently particularly with the filecopy writer - when on inspectors it still performs a copy operation in FME 2016 which I am currently using for a particular process, has it been fixed in 2017?

FeatureWriters still do not honor the "Redirect to Inspectors" Workspace Parameter in build 18295.

Can this be addressed?

Hi @jt, we have an existing problem report that asks for this functionality. I have linked this idea to the report and will update here once it's been implemented. Thank you for voting and commenting on this idea.

Still there in 2020.2, not sure if it's been resolved in 2021 but this isn't one to leave for too long. I can confirm that while this was set on a workspace the feature writer did write output to feature classes in a file gdb, though it wasn't major in terms of impact.

Is there a workaround for this? In one of my workspaces I have to rely heavily on Featurewriters because of Foreing Key constraints. But it is almost undoable to test the whole workflow, because the featurewriters do not honor the redirect-setting....

Another bump for this one.  Safers, out of curiosity is there a reason why this isn’t the default behaviour?
