The message should tell the user which version of FME the workspace was created with so that they know which version to use. At present I have to open the workspace in a text editor to determine the version.

fyi this is already on our radar. The reference number is FMEDESKTOP-9648. Currently it's in the backlog, so I can't say if or when it might be implemented. But I'm hopeful it'll be done in the near future.
