***Note from Migration:***

Original Title was: Use a Slack Channel/Slack app to trigger FME Server translations/transformations

The Idea would be drag and drop a file into a slack channel, somehow you pick a workspace/repository (slack apps?) this will trigger the workspace and then you can receive the results back in the same Slack Channel .

We do not plan to pursue the implementation of this idea. If anyone would like to take on this project and runs into any product issues, please reach out and we would be happy to look into any enhancements that allow you to successfully create the Slack app or bot.

It will be interesting to see what form Slack takes after the acquisition by Salesforce and how any potential interface to FME would look after that date.

If slack can trigger an FME Server app in the same way that a Geocortex workflow can, then it should be possible to implement the pick list idea.
