It would be nice if there was the possibility of setting up a notification that a security token for an FME Server account has expired (or is about to).

we need this too. perhaps the user list on the fme server admin portal could include a token(s) expires column

FME Server 2019 has improvements in token management, but it would still be very useful of we could set a notification for when a token is about to expire.

In FME Server 2019, we are able to now set very long expiration dates for tokens (for example, 2099) – giving users a "set it and forget it" approach.

Would that help for your workflows? Or do you require shorter lived tokens that are rotated? (In that scenario, presumably a scheduled notification to change them might also work?)

In FME Server 2019, each user can view their own tokens (click the User Icon > Manage Tokens) and there is an expiration column exposed.

Having a very long expiry will help with certain projects, but others do require cycling tokens.

@jdh @ajayel (and others interested in this), how long before expiry would you want a notification?

In the ideal it would be configurable on a per token basis, in the easier to implement at least 72 hours.
