@XiaomengAtSafe The ability to write an Esri .ovr pyramid file would enable the GEOTIFF writer output to be a "complete" image dataset ready for use with ArcGIS with no additional post processing.
This would be most useful when writing the output to a zip file for download/sharing, however it would also be beneficial when writing a lot of tiffs for consumption by the ArcGIS platform.
