Reading? Writing? Both?

I think reading would be a great first step, so that it can be converted to something else or imported into a geodatabase raster dataset.

I wonder if this will be in 2019? This would be very useful for us. How can we follow the outcome of PR#54009 ?

I think it needs to read and write! also missing is the ability to write an ERS and world file. Both staples of the format. Also, when compared to other software, FME is slow at writing ECW.

Hi @david_r, @stuartwileman, @rclarkenz (and anyone else who is following this idea!):

Great news—FME 2019.2 (released today) now supports ECW v3! Please check out our blog post for more details on this, as well as other new features in this release.
