Would it be possible to add support for the built-in coordinate systems in both AutoCAD and MicroStation? Both let their users define a coordinate system, but I don’t think FME reads the setting?

Currently, the RealDWG reader supports reading coordinate systems for AutoCAD files that were made in AutoCAD 2013 or newer. Click here for more information about reading the coordinate system information for AutoCAD files.

Just as a general thought on this - I suspect a lot of people don't use RealDWG, because everyone I talk to asks me what a "RealDWG file" is. Is it worth considering a new name?

This idea has been partially implemented for FME Desktop 2019.0. The AutoCAD (ACAD) reader now supports coordinate system reading.

That's awesome! Where in the ACAD reader can I set it to read the coordinate system? I searched but didn't see an option for it anywhere.
