The Snapper currently has 3 snapping type options, end point, vertex, and segment, but in a lot of cases what I actually want is to snap end points (base snapping type) to either vertex or segments (candidate snapping type).

Hi @jdh, I would recommend giving the AnchoredSnapper a try in these scenarios. New to our FME 2018.0 betas, the AnchoredSnapper has a segment snapping mode.

I will change the idea of this status to In Beta and if you feel that the AnchoredSnapper is not fulfilling this idea, please let me know and provide any additional details that you can.

I'll take a look, but our biggest scenario for this is a poor quality road network, where there are a lot of undershoots. In that case we only want to snap the dangle nodes (end points) to a segment, but they themselves could be a segment for a different dangle node, so it can be tough to separate them into anchors and candidates.

Would be nice to have this Options also in Neighbourfinder!

I often Need to use a Counter to mark lines, just use start and ent Points of lines, use the neighbourfinder to find the neighbours of start- and endpoints and then use the featurmerger with the counted Attribute to get the line of wich endpoints are neighbours of something else.

Just using endpoints of Features in neighbourfinder or snapper or anchoredsnapper would be really helpful!
