New Reader/Writer: Rhino 3DM

Any news about the support of Rhino 3dm file format ? It would be awesome to have this in FME

Rhino is one of the most famous and widely used 3D modeller of the market

Rhino and it's GIS extensions (Rhinoterrain, City, Capture) are great products for 3D, pointclouds ... see some examples

Is there a chance to have Rhino 3D format in FME one day ?

This is a must have in the next 6months.

Although NURBS handling within FME would be amazing, a 3DM to mesh converter would be sufficient.

I can see that this thread is very old, but was wondering if any progress has been made with a rhino file format reader for FME?

We’re currently considering adding Rhino and STEP as supported formats and would like to gather some feedback. Specifically, for those who have voted for the STEP format, does Rhino 3DM ever come up on your radar? Do you have any insights to share about its importance to your workflow?

To clarify, we may eventually implement both formats, but as we plan our short-term roadmap, we need to prioritize.
