When working with Linked Transformers and editing, saving. It is cumbersome to always have to restart a new FME Workbench to reload the Custom Transformers after saving an edit. A button to "Force refresh" of initialization of Custom Transformers / formats etc would be great.

I *think* that the refresh button on the Transformer Gallery window does what you want for transformer definitions -- let us know if not. It won't help with Custom Formats, but do advise if it does what you want for Custom Transformers. Note that if you have an instance of the custom transformer pasted into your workspace, the typical "dance" that is done is:

  1. Delete the instance
  2. Hit the reload in the Transformer Gallery
  3. Hit Control-Z to undo the delete. The transformer is back, with the new definition, and the old parameters.

Let us know how this goes.

Hi @sigtill .. I've marked this idea as "Released" – if the comment by @daleatsafe does not satisfy your requirements, then if you would be able to write out a step-by-step to illustrate the inconvenience you are experiencing we could work towards improving the refresh.
