I'm a fan of the parameter "Read Drawing System Variables" but I would like to read which layer that is active in the DWG-file I'm reading.

The reason I need this is that I'm checking thousands of DWG-files and see if they correspond to the CAD standard that are used in a certain project. In most of these cases the active layer shall be set to "0". So I need to fetch which layer that are active.

So to be clear, you want to know what layer is the active one. You don't particularly want to read only the data on the active layer?

Exactly. I just want to know what layer is the active one (as all CAD standards says that layer 0 shall be the active one).

A task has been created to investigate, and we should know more shortly. Thanks.
