It would be nice with a small pop-up/notification in the system tray of windows / mac / linux when a workspace completes. With the following information for instance:

"Workspace myworkspace.fmw Completed Successfully - 1 hour 32 min - 8 files written - go to outputcatalogue here: link or open workspace here: link"

Then you can easily go to the outputcatalogue and you can easily navigate to that workspace.

As long as it was only optional - I've no desire to play whack a mole when using a workspace runner :-)

I think they have something like this in Windows, but it only appears when there’s no space available. It’s a bit late, I agree. It looks better in Android, where a notification appears even when there I “little” space on a device.

I understand why they don’t add that many popups in windows – it’s annoying, and it’s a good designer solution. But popups can be really helpful when they contain useful information for the user. Like, for example, promolayer.io make popups that tell website user about special offers and coupons that might interest them. It’s useful both for the client and for the website owner.
