With how much hype there has been around various indoor mapping solutions lately, I think a transformer to take an indoor or indoor/outdoor point cloud and produce a 3D model from it would be really cool. I could see this being written to 3D CAD software like Revit or the yet to be released ArcGIS Indoors Information Model, FMEAR, or AVF. Units like GeoSLAM and KAARTA Contour are cheap enough to make this a reality for helping to jump start existing buildings into this active indoors market.
