"I know I used this transformer before in one of my hundreds workflows, but which one?"

I like a tool where you can search for used transformers and which returns the names and locations of the workflows. Is there allready a solution or is it not a problem?

FME 2016 includes the "FME Workspace (FMW)" reader, it will create one feature for each object in each workspace (fmw file) it reads, including transformers. I think it should make it fairly easy to do just this.

I've been looking for a way to do exactly this but I only have FME 2015.1. Ideally, it would also show me which FMWs have startup and shutdown scripts. Is there anything available for my current version?

You can always read the fmw with the Text File reader and parse from there.
