OpenDRIVE is an open format specification to describe a road network's logic. Its objective is to standardize the logical road description to facilitate the data exchange between different driving simulators. Can FME add a way to convert traditional GIS vector data (shapefiles, geodatabases, etc.) to XODR?

Any news on this? We badly need this in our digital map industry for automotive. Thanks!

Safe had PR#49257 for this but it had been closed due to lack of interest. I have re-opened it and raised the importance. If others are looking for this format please vote here.

Big up! When can we expect it in FME?

If someone wants to read OpenDRIVE datasets, this could be a temporary solution: With https://github.com/tum-gis/rtron you can convert OpenDRIVE to CityGML, which is supported by FME.

Reading and writing of OpenDRIVE datasets in FME would be really great!
