Add buttons or context menu options to transformers to navigate to the previous and following transformer(s). This is especially useful in large workspaces whith far-away transformer connections where pannig to the joining transformers can be cumbersome. This could look similar to the buttons that appear when connecting transformers.

I was about to suggest a similar idea, the ability to navigate from one end of a connection (or tunnel) to the other.

Although arrow keys don't make it work quite the way I would expect. It just seems to skip to the nearest link or transformer (which can be anything nearby) but not the actual subsequent or previous transformer.

From FME 2017, it is possible to navigate to the transformers on a connection by clicking on the connection:
