Possibility to save FME Server connections in named connections like databases and web services and to use them in "Publish to FME Server", "Download to FME Server" and FME Server transformers.

Yes, it's already filed as PR#59211 and I think we will do this for sure (I just can't say when)

This is underway for FME 2017 and is already in the Betas (as of this writing) for FMEServerJobSubmitter and the FMEServerResourceConnector. The FMEServerJobWaiter, LogFileRetriever and Notifier have not yet been updated but are planned.
