This would be particularly helpful when using a reader with a single merged feature type (for example when reading a geodatabase). The navigator only lists one feature but you have in fact selected several. You need to open the "Features to Read" parameter to see which ones you have selected where a list in the navigator would be preferred. This would also help when the Features to read is different from the feature types
