Trying to find/clean up duplicate connections. Would be cool to have a list of workspaces that are using/have recently used a database connection on FME Server when you select the connection

Even just adding Database (and Web) connections to the Workspace Reader would be useful. Then you can simply create such a report using FME.

Something inspired by this (here in n8n) might be useful:
 

 

If we want to take the concept a bit further, it would be useful to have an interface or tool that exposes all dependencies between key components (for example, where workspaces are used, in which automations, schedules, projects, apps, etc.). The same would apply to web or database connections, as well as other major components.

With something like this in place, I think many users would consult this information before pushing major changes to production :)

In FME FORM, Have to tried using a reader set to format “fme workspace” (workspace reader) and the dataset to the repository of all fmws?

There is an output port for connections you can use a statisticsCalculator with groupBy
