Currently the JSONValidator only validates syntax, whereas the XMLValidator allows for Syntax only or Syntax and Schema.

The Schema can defined as per http://json-schema.org/documentation.html

One more piece of Python-caller use which can be eliminated, and thus integrated better in the FME workflow. JSON seems to be some steps behind, compared to XML... XMLValidator v.s. JSONValidator anyone?

Just logged in to post exactly the above Idea myself, as I need it in my integration-service-workflow, communicating with MS-LogicApps using JSON-messages. And we want it all to be clean and tidy.

This is still very much needed and the use of JSON schemas are getting more wide spread.
