Similar to the 'Ignore Failed Readers' parameters, allow 'Ignore Failed Writers' but allow it to be selectively enabled. In instances where a non-crucial writer (eg. for tracking purposes) fails to write for reasons unrelated to features (eg. if the file written to is opened by another user), this would allow the workspace to continue running.
