Highlight all canvas objects for whom an updated version is available in the current FME release. Then provide a way to upgrade each one, one at a time, to engage the latest functionality while allowing any parameter/port changes to be dealt with. Also a short "Whats new" on each Reader/Writer/Transformer would be nice, but might be messy to keep a record of? For instance the FeatureMerger have the following versions. This would highlight any important changes or you would know if it will behave differently. This is especially useful if for instance the SpatialRelator/SpatialFilter now works with arcs and did not work with arcs before etc, as this will change the ports the feature go through.:
