When having tens or hundreds of custom transformers with long names, their tabs get really small in FME Workbench. It's hard to see, which custom transformer is in which tab. When selecting a custom transformer on canvas, just highlight its tab.

Another option: When hovering mouse on the custom transformer tab, show the whole name of the tab.

I try and make a habit of closing tabs that are not actively being developed. It takes half a second to reopen a tab if necessary, but as you say, when too many are open, it gets hard to pick the correct one.

In my case I'm developing many at the same time, so I can't close them :).

We have fixed this for the FME 2016.1 release which is scheduled for distribution in late March or early April.
