We have improved this workflow in FME Server 2019 – you can 'Create a Webhook' for any Workspace in FME Server (and for any Web Service that it is registered with), and this will provide you with a token that you can use to run that workspace.

It is recommend to use FME Server 2019.1 or newer for this feature.
