Parcel Fabric is a key component in the ESRI local government model. Unfortunately FME desktop does not recognize parcel fabric dataset features. Please consider enhancing the ESRI data readers to recognize this type of data

@jclemis have you found any kind of workaround at this point? I have been trying desperately to figure out what is going on. This is the first I have actually seen that the parcel fabric feature dataset is not supported. This comes as quite the shock!

FME Does support simple reading of parcel fabrics according to their documentation. https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/19440/comparison-of-fme-readers-and-writers-for-sde-and.html

I have been able to read a parcel fabric in a file geodatabase but not an enterprise geodatabase. The parcel fabric features do not show up in the table list when you add a reader.

FME will read a parcel fabric in a file geodatabase. I have not been able to connect to a parcel fabric in an enterprise geodatabase (SDE/SQL Server). When you bring up the table list none of the parcel fabric feature classes show in the table list.

Any updates on this? Have one of you tried using the SQL Reader and see if more information is being read by FME?

In FME2018 you can use ESRI Legacy ArcSDE read a parcel fabric tables but in 2019 it has been deprecated with the suggestion that you move to ESRI Geodatabase (ArcSDE Geodb) which doesn't recognize parcel fabric tables. There probably aren't enough parcel fabric users to merit an upgrade but ESRI Legacy ArcSDE was our only access and now has been dropped?

This is becoming more important as more Land based agencies support the model.

Can Safe add this feature in please

@darkspatiallord and @fdharris13

I'm pleased to announce this idea has been implemented for FME Desktop 2019.2 betas! Both the Geodatabase ArcSDE and File Geodatabase readers are able to read parcel fabrics.
