What kind of editing would you want to see? The new (2018.1) RasterConvolver can blur and sharpen among other things. Is there something else that would be useful to have?
I would like this proposed enhancement to facilitate the management of rasters. How many times have I had error messages because the source rasters did not suit those desired at the output. It can be obvious and easy to correct but also tedious and not very intuitive when it requires a series of transformers and complex settings to achieve the desired results. A transform with Photoshop vocabulary would make things easier. "From anything, modified as I want it, to the format that I want without error messages".
