It would be nice to have a checkbox to set the column width to automatically resize according to the cell contents. Please launch for Excel Writer and Feature Writer (xls)!

I believe that setting '0' for the column width at the excel writer will achieve this.

Correct! This is currently in FME 2021.0 betas. In the Excel writer feature type, if you set the display width value to 0, this will set the column width to automatically resize.

Try it out here: www.safe.com/beta

Hi @andrea, On the webinar 'Ask Me Anything About Excel Integration' of 'February 3rd, 2021' (https://www.safe.com/webinars/ask-me-anything-about-excel-integration/), it was mentioned that this was actually already implemented in FME 2020. If I try it out on FME 2020.1.1.1, it already works for me, so I would think it is actually already (silently) released instead of In Beta.
