error message too generic (embed connections)

Is it possible, when publishing a workbench to FME Server that you code to provision for checks to ensure all DB connections are embedded and prompt / message accordingly?

The message below is too generic.

"Web services access failed (Not Authorized) - Ensure that username and password fields are correct, and that user has sufficient privileges."
