So we have the good old writer with that nice feedback if all attributes are connected. But yes it's a dead end an I'm not using it that much anymore.

Then we have for some year the FeatureWriter with the ability to keep flowing. It's great and I can not do without it anymore.

Shoulden't we combine the strengths of both solutions and make an enhanced FeatureWriter?

Not sure if I understand correctly, but outputports for the FeatureWriter do already exist?

@nielsgerrits indeed output ports do exist but the visual feedback if al input attributes are connected doesn't. Now you have to open up the transformer to see if everything is connected and you can not manually connect attributes.

Ah, you want the features to continue streaming out from the FeatureWriter. They are still in your workspace so you could build some logic to circumvent this situation.

100% agree! Why can't we see the attribute list on the FW feature types? It's a pain to have to go into the FW settings just to see which attributes are connected up correctly.

This would be a nice feature to have. Because you can see what values are not writen, which are renamed and which you miss in your workbench.
