It would be useful to add support for the ability to timeout a desktop license that is being held by an idle user. In the event a colleague went on vacation and left up FME desktop on his desktop he would indefinitely hold a license until his return, preventing others from using that license. If the ability to timeout that checked out license to effectively return that floating license back to the license pool it would be available for use by others. Currently FlexLM has support for a timeout function but it is not supported by FME.

We would also really like this function. Is there any update on whether it's likely to be implemented?

This would be a great enhancement. Checks would need to ensure any open workspaces were saved etc.

For now you can manually force idle users off.
