When running with feature Cashing to a selected transformer, I some time want to run to the same transformer again even if nothing has changed in the workspace except for the data source. Even if the DataSource has changed, the workspace will not run from start, but instead it runs the cashed source data. I would therefore like to be able to empty the cash with just one click, without having to run the workspace without feature cashing and stop the workspace immediatly to empty cashe, or run between selected. Shift + F5 empty the cashe, but runs the whole workspace, but instead I just want to empty the cashe and run with feature cashing again.

YES! I have run into this issue multiple times.

Found this Idea after I posted my own Idea as an alternative solution to the same problem...

Have you tried Tools > Purge Temporary Files? This clears the cache too

@tomf it's unclear if Purge Temporary Files clears the cache too. The numbers between transformers in the workspace stay present. '>

I believe Tools > Purge Temporary Files purges temp files for all running FME instances, not just for the instance from which it's called, so be careful using this approach.

It would be nice if the Tools > Purge Temporary Files functionality could be isolated to a single FME Desktop instance.

This seems to work but count numbers still remain and it would be nice if you could add it to quick toolbar. Its not possible cause it has no icon.

One thing one can do is to change something simple on the transformer where you want to update the cache, e.g. changing it’s name.
