It would be great if you could embed images (e.g. JPG or PNG) into the workbench. These images are intended only to overview. In many projects, graphics are used to represent the process flow. These pictures give a quick overview of what the workflow is doing. For Example theese images could be stored in the workbench encoded to base64.

A customer suggest this as well and currently does a funny hack where he re-arranges his tranformers to represent something to remind himself what the workflow is doing. Upvoting

A few years ago when I built a process to do a very specific reprojection based on a unique survey grid I had to construct a bunch of geometries to represent each zone. To make it really clear which shape was which I added the relevant transformers inside an appropriately placed bookmark. Each book mark was laid out to represent the appropriate zone:

...and here's the layout of the actual grid...

If I'd been able to embed an image like this one, I could have avoided the elaborate bookmark layout... pretty though it was! I add my upvote!

You don't have to use the option if it's available!

Yes please. Images alongside annotations would help me clarify the workflow.

Check out this related idea: Insert Images in Annotations

Would be very helpful to add photos into annotations. I'm running some processes that require spatial overlays, and it can be hard to explain the transformations without graphics.

Can this be achieved in a similar way to saving a template FMWT where the "Files to Add" +/- feature cache are saved via reference to where they reside Save image attachments within Annotations via reference in the Files to add

Perhaps my idea on 'HTML Annotations' would address this issue - allowing the use of graphics and charts anywhere in the workspace.
