Edit FME Server Repository 'Description' after creation

At the moment you can create a new repository, add a description and then when not required, delete it.

But if you fluff the description first time round or want to expand on it, you can't. I'm sure a hack to this is to open up your database administrator of choice and manually edit the description in the database table, but that's less than user friendly. Can we edit in the interface please?

And only if you had the right to create a Repository! You do not want anybody who can see the Repository to change the Description.


I heard in late 2015 from Safe Software that this was a bug that they were going to fix.

Editing the name would be nice too.

To edit a repository description, your user's role must have the Manage Repositories role and for each repository the role must have the Read policy enabled for the corresponding repository. Here is a screenshot to try make that clear:
