Duplicate web connections

Hi,

It would be nice to have in FME Desktop Options - Web Connections ability to duplicate web connections. For Database connections, duplication is possible via Context menu.

Sometimes you have number of same users on DEV, STG and PROD servers, and duplication would help greatly.

Hi @crayxt - If you select and right-click an existing Web Connection, you can select "Add.." and this should bring up a dialog where you can edit the parameters. Make sure to type in a new name and the Web Connection will effectively be duplicated (and give you the chance to change the hostname). Does that help?

 

 

I understand that it's not really a true duplicate because you still have to "Authenticate" – so I believe your Idea is still a valid request!
