Does workbench have the ability to write to MrSID files?

Due to licensing restrictions (I believe), FME can only read MrSID files, not write them. See also the list of officially supported formats:

As a workaround, I'm pretty sure you can use FME to write GeoTIFF files and then convert them to MrSID files using the official GeoExpress software from LizardTech.
