The option to deactivate Desktop License with the licensing assistant through the internet when moving a license to a different machine. (For fix license)

Yes, it is difficult to 'release' a fixed licence which I have wanted to do once or twice lately in times of high demand.

@chrisw84 and @gisinnovationsb - Just to confirm, are you each speaking of Fixed Licenses as opposed to Floating Licenses? I want to make sure I understand the scenario correctly.

Floating Licenses are able to be "borrowed" or "reserved" – which, in some respect, makes the license operate as a "fixed" license. Once borrowed, the only way to "return" the license is from within FME on the machine that borrowed it.

Fixed Licenses, on the other hand, are trivial to move to another machine. Install FME on the new machine, license using the Licensing Assistant, and then uninstall FME from the old machine.
