When a Translation is very involved and contains multiple transformers, organizing it on the canvas in a way that does not tangle connections is sometimes difficult. Hidden connections and/or tunneling are options, but not always the best as sometimes you would prefer to see where the actual connection(s) lead visually.
What if the ability to "Halo" a connection line with a color could help differentiate connections that cross over one another. The connection line would still be black or grey showing that it is enabled/disabled, but a 1 or 2 point line of 50% or greater transparent color straddling both side of it would make it stand out.
Give the user the ability to choose, the color, transparency/opacity, and width and they are set. It is a "creature feature" and does not improve performance or anything technical. But, the value of assistance in "self documentation" of a workspace is great.
