The ability to control the backup content as part of a schedule or one off load would be great. Or even the ability to change the content with out needing to edit configuration files,, requiring a restart.

This would be a great way to provide basic FME Cloud setups to new users.

Very interesting, I use a configuration reader but I'm always scared to forgot something.

Would it include all related notifications (TOPIC assgnied, subscription) and security?

That would be ideal for a reliable environment deployment mechanism that would target a single repository.
