ArcGIS Online & Portals have file upload and download (and of course storage) capability just like the OneDrive, Box, DropBox and similar connectors. How about a connector for ArcGIS Online & Portal?

Supported file types are here and the API ref for items is here.

Another API option is here.

A nice to have would be handling sharing properties too.

I think that this would be a great addition to FME Hub! Do you think this could be built as a Custom Transformer?

I guess, just not by me. The multipart upload looks tricky. Why wouldn't Safe build it? :-)

Now Safe has opened PR#54164 for this issue with possibly using the new arcgis Python API for portal administration.

The EsriArcGISOnlineConnector is available on the FME Hub and can be used with FME 2019.0 (Build 19231) or higher. You can fine the connector here: https://hub.safe.com/publishers/safe/packages/esri-agol
