A new reader is automatically linked to a published parameter. It would be nice to be able to edit the parameter definition immediately when the reader is added.

Or link the source to an existing published parameter in case both readers use the same source.

Or link a writer parameter to an existing reader parameter (happens a lot if you are reading from and writing to the same database).

This idea might already implement the following suggestion:

https://knowledge.safe.com/idea/40515/add-option-to-define-if-new-automatically-created.html

When a new parameter is created, the popup where you can edit the parameter can open. If it would be possible to add a button to 'Save my defaults' as is possible with transformers, I could provide a custom default value for published.
