My organization would appreciate this enhancement. I'm curious to see how token generation would be affected by this though since we use the REST quite a bit along with Service Accounts in AD which do MFA completely different than normal user accounts.

I can think of several of our clients who would very much appreciate this enhancement.

In FME Server 2022.0 we added support for SAML 2.0, which allows FME Server to act as a Service Provider and integrate with many Identity Providers like Okta/Auth0/Google Cloud for login. Since these Identity Providers typically allow MFA configuration, we have decided not to pursue out-of-the-box MFA configuration in FME Server in the near future. Instead, we recommend setting up SAML authentication for FME Server and adding MFA on the Identity Provider. For more information and implementation guides, please see our article on SAML configuration.
