It feels like it shouldn’t be difficult to expose a new output attribute for the file.type, to be able to tell whether the updated item is a folder or a file, or the file.extension, rather than hoping for the best that nobody included the sequence “.shp” in the name of their excel files.
Yes, you could easily do this within the workspace, but it doesn’t feel right.
