The data filters are great but often over complex at the base level. It is not at all uncommon in FME to want to use the capabilities to string together a big workflow but as far as i can see there is no easy way to direct and control data. A dialogue with two columns - 1 autofilled with all of the reader/reader dataset names and 1 autofilled with all of the write names. Drag and drop readers to match writers and maybe drill down on each reader to expose attributes to do attribute filters, etc and direct to the correct writer. Maybe too much 1 ring to rule them all but at the basic level this would be good for newbies like me before hitting the more advanced filters.
