There should be a conversion option from .3mx to GDB and vice-versa, since Bentley and other providers are offering their products in this format and there is no easy way to import it into ArcGIS.

does anyone know if there are any off-line tools to convert .3mx into something fme can read into a mesh (obj, .dgn ...) ??
